NLA Breakfast Talk - 11 August 2010

Julian Lewis will be speaking at a Breakfast Talk at the NLA on the public realm.

Rotterdam - 17 March 2010

East have been invited by the Netherlands Architecture Fund and Biq architects to participate in a conference about alternative urbanisation strategies within the Dutch city. The event will be held on the 18th of March at the Berlage Institute, Rotterdam. Julian Lewis will be a keynote speaker to present and discuss the British condition of ‘planning without planning’ and also present ways in which urban interventions may be defined at a detailed level within the wider context.

Schoolwork seminar at the German Gymnasium

East have been invited to participate in a seminar ‘Schoolwork’ at the German Gymnasium, Kings Cross, aimed at examining the relationship between education practices and architectural design, schools and their surrounding neighbourhoods and communities, the relationship between end user and architect and findings from best European practice.

Julian Lewis appointed visiting professor for Mendrisio

Julian Lewis has been appointed as visiting professor for the architecture school in Mendrisio, Switzerland. Students are studying the public realm and opportunities for new housing in Rainham, Essex.
