Competition for new community building, Sittingbourne, Kent - 9 June 2010

East has won the competition to design a Community Centre for The Meads residential area in Sittingbourne. The arrangement of internal and external spaces allows for active and passive participation and pleasures - from enjoying the garden while walking by, to having a coffee in the foyer space, to taking part in a class or working within the building.

Site works on the new Town Square at Sutton High Street

New raised stages with special granite edges are being constructed and the ground surface will be resin bound aggregate. Recently planted mature Pin Oak trees can be seen on the right hand side.

East appointed to ‘High Street Life Strategy’ - 12 May 2010

East have been appointed to develop a ‘High Street Life Strategy’ for Waltham Forest. It includes a pilot project, upgrading 16 shopfronts in Leyton. We are leading a team including GVA Grimley and Jan Kattein Architects.
