A flexible infrastructure designed to enable occupation in a variety of ways across a series of fields in Sittingbourne. Existing earth bunds found on the site are extended and adjusted to form a loose matrix of organising strips. These bundways support a network of roads, tracks and paths, and contain drainage and other services. This new topography creates loosely defined platforms and bowls of space in which the programme of housing, working, and communal uses may be placed.
Carried out in collaboration with Sergison Bates architects.
