Beach Tree Close
For Barnsbury Housing Association we carried out improvements to the area within a housing mews in Islington. The proposals included new surfacing, new vehicle barrier, new planting beds and planting screens, new lighting and signage, and new bench and table.
Works were designed to improve the appearance of the mews, improve safety for children’s play, allow space for seating and meeting, and encourage tenants to feel part of the outcome through consultation carried out at an early stage. The result is a ‘home zone’ community space; accommodating vehicles, but with the focus on other activities.
