Sutton High Street
East have been appointed by the London Borough of Sutton to design the new public realm of Sutton High Street in South London. The first stage of the project has already been completed and involved decluttering of the existing High Street including the removal of 146 redundant black bollards.
As part of the new works East are designing new lighting, paving, sustainable water channels, street furniture and events structure such as new stages and feature lighting in consultation with the Sutton Town Centre Partnership.
The project is currently at RIBA stage D/E and will be at tender stage by the end of January 2009 commencing on site April 2009. East will be the Contract Administrator for the project on site and are working together with Mayer Brown Project Managers and Alan Baxter Traffic engineers to deliver the project.
