Royal Arsenal Masterplan
A masterplan for 3000 new homes at the Royal Arsenal, in Woolwich, next to the Thames, for Berkeley Homes.
The masterplan makes a new relationship between the new housing proposed, and the large amount of council housing which lies in a swathe on the southern slopes, away from the river.
By locating spaces and buildings carefully the Royal Arsenal is expanded, linkage with the rest of Woolwich is made, the struggling public space next to the river is redefined, and mixed public and private housing with other uses, such as A3, and leisure are provided.
This project was carried out in collaboration with Sergison Bates Architects and with Broadway Malayan Architects.
