Judith Lösing


Judith is an architectural director of East, with a broad experience of directing housing, urban design and landscape projects.

Recent high profile projects include the £8m Wood Green and Green Lanes Scheme ranging from redesign of public highways to shop front improvements, building conservation, wayfinding, lighting and public art works. Judith has also led large projects involving a wide range of other property, engineering, lighting and arboricultural consultants. One example is the multi disciplinary team led by Judith on the Green Enterprise District East London project for the LDA and 5 London Boroughs.

Judith is leading a number of housing schemes for private developers as well as housing associations, including in Brent and Harrow where East is also developing an urban framework for the relocation of the Civic Centre.

Judith has an interest in developing meaningful community consultation, and she has led consultation strategies on a number of projects, such as at Sussex Road School, following a process of joinedupdesignforschool set up by the Sorrell Foundation. She also has a passion for plants and soft landscape and has studied these at Capel Manor College.

Judith is a member of Hackney’s Regeneration Design Panel. Her role in the practice is complemented by a teaching role at the Cass School of Architecture and she is a supervisor for the MA Sustainable Urbanism at the Bartlett.
