Romford Road Villa

Although Romford Road hosts a number of car washes, hotels and HMOs, the nature of the street is distinctively wide, straight and leafy, its buildings set on generous plots. Thinking of La Rotonda by Palladio, seen from all sides, we felt a strong form here would be appropriate, being celebratory to the street as well as to its neighbours at the side and the back. Apartments within the building step above and across each other, offering multiple entrances, views and external spaces including porches, loggias, sunken and raised gardens, flights of steps, and roof terraces.
