Marketing

East occasionally send out an email newsletter with the latest news on our projects and practice. We will only send this people who consent to receive it. East use Mailchimp to issue the newsletter and Mailchimp are the controller of this data. East are able to view this data on Mailchimp. We do not hold the data on our own servers. You can unsubscribe at any time. East will not pass your details on to anyone externally.


Our Website

The cookies used on our website do not store any personal visitor information.


Recruitment

We believe that it is reasonable to expect that if you make a job application to East that you are happy for us to retain your data in case a job opportunity arises. We believe there is therefore a legitimate interest for us to retain your job application for a period of up to 6 months after which applications will be deleted/destroyed. If however, you would like us to delete or destroy your data prior to this, please contact mail@east.uk.com with ‘PRIVACY REQUEST’ in the subject header.

We will not pass on your details to anyone externally.


Clients

To ensure that we can provide you and your organisation with the best possible service, we store details of the organisation and its contacts as well as notes of conversations, emails and meetings. We believe East have a legitimate interest in holding this data in order to provide a service to our clients. It is also necessary to retain this information in case a legal claim should be made. Project records are retained for a period of 12 years from the projects’ Practical Completion as is standard in architectural practice.


Team Members

During the course of a project East will typically work with many other team members; quantity surveyors, engineers etc. We believe we have a legitimate interest to store details of our team members and its contacts as well as notes of conversations, emails and meetings during the course of a project so that the project team can function and that there be an accurate record of the project. We then retain this information [in order for there] in case a legal claim should be made. Project records are retained for a period of 12 years from the projects’ Practical Completion as is standard in architectural practice.

In addition, when bidding for projects, or during the course of a project we may share CV’s of fellow / prospective team members with a client. We believe both parties have a legitimate interest in us sharing in such a way.

  • The right to rectification of your personal data;
  • The right to erasure of your personal data in certain circumstances;

  • The right not to be subjected to automated decision making and profiling; and
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time.

Where you have consented to us processing your personal data you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time by emailing mail@east.uk.com with ‘PRIVACY REQUEST’ in the subject header.

If you are concerned that East are not handling data as we should, you are entitled to complain to the ICO.
