Architect
Laura is an associate at East and a qualified, ARB registered architect.
In 2016, Laura graduated with first class honours from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-Malaquais. Her thesis explored the Anthropocene and the qualification of the natural and artificial soils of New York, in partnership with the Parsons School of Architecture.
Since working at East, Laura has focused on several large-scale urban projects that consider the landscape and the architecture as an ensemble , with careful interventions that are conscious of the impact that designs have on our communities.
Recently, Laura has been leading the public realm and landscape design in Paddington and Canalside developing sensible urban interventions in heritage and canal ways contexts. Following her leading on the Beckton Parks Masterplan, a comprehensive masterplan and wider landscape vision that ensures the site is well connected to the existing community infrastructures and broaden the range of uses in the Parks, Laura has recently delivered some the first portions of the projects. She has also been leading Bow Goods Yard, a 12.5ha industrial intensification project in the Olympic Park.
Alongside these projects she has also engaged in meanwhile uses projects and art strategies and is pursuing research on circular economy for best practice in landscape, public realm and architecture.
Prior to joining East, Laura has worked for practices in both Paris and London, focusing on residential and mixed-use urban projects, a time during which she delivered a 23 storey residential tower and its adjacent amenity uses and landscape.
