Hillingdon Town Architect
Hillingdon Town Architect
The Town Architect work for Hillingdon Council provides a means of working with the Council and GLA to support the development and delivery of projects in ways that achieve the best design outcomes for two strategic regeneration areas, Uxbridge and Hayes. Activities include reviewing the vision and development approach in Uxbridge, and establishing design principles and providing advice on public realm and wider connectivity strategies in Uxbridge and Hayes.
Part of the role is about identifying opportunities and ideas for ‘good growth’, as well as providing examples of best practice. Some of the work here is part of the process, hand drawings to identify urban opportunities, as well as more developed plans to show existing assets, and to consider how these can be animated and connected.
